2024 CECI charity and sport challenge : a collective success for women's rights and leadership

All countries

This year, the charity and sport challenge brought together 72 people at Parc Jean-Drapeau on April 20. In addition, 20 people opted for the distance run.

Participants had the opportunity to push their limits by running 21, 10, 5 or 1 km. Thanks to the commitment of our runners and the generosity of our donors, we were able to raise $43,636.22 to support CECI's mission. Congratulations!

CECI's Charity and Sports Challenge was rewarded by the Canada Running Series, the organizing company of the 21K of Montreal. Indeed, we received the prize for the organization with the highest number of fundraising runners, earning us an amount of $2,500, bringing the total amount raised to $46,136.

A corporate team of four employees also took part in the race. The team was from Ebury, a company specializing in international financial services. They raised $1,050, which was matched by a donation from the company, bringing the total to $2,050. Many thanks to Ebury employees for their participation!

We'd also like to thank our sponsors: Provigo Angus (Jean Marc Fortin), Studios Locomotion (Julie Bernard) and Café Kujira (Gabriel Comtois). Our thanks also go to Trustcan Agence Immobilière, Serconam, our spokespersons Chloé Gaudet and Ekue Sessi Afanou, both members of the Board of Directors.

Thanks to all our runners, especially the 39 new participants who joined us this year. And we can’t end this article without thanking our valued donors. Thank you for your invaluable support!

You can still support us by making a donation and enjoy the photos of the event by visiting our Facebook page.

We look forward to seeing you at the next edition!
