CECI operates in Guinea since 1984. We have implemented over 150 projects in the country's four natural regions. Our activities are geared towards the economic and social development of communities, with specific actions in the fields of women's and girls' rights and economic empowerment, youth empowerment, food, nutritional and inclusive security, territorial governance, adaptation to climate change, emergency and epidemic response and economic development around extractive industries. All our projects are carried out in partnership with local stakeholders.

CECI-Guinea promotes the exercise of women's citizenship, their participation in public management and decision-making bodies and the strengthening of their economic power. We support social mobilization and strategic alliances at national and sub-regional level and build the capacities of local organizations. We also support efforts to ensure that women's rights are fully considered in the elaboration and implementation of policies and programs in Guinea.
As part of a drive to diversify the local economy, CECI-Guinea aims to professionalize women and promote their excellence in value-added economic sectors. Our actions aim to stimulate sustainable and inclusive economic growth through agri-food production and processing, as well as training in local sourcing. In addition, we improve access to financing by working with village savings and credit groups.
CECI-Guinea is firmly committed to a sustainable future. We are leading a project on energy transition to empower women through the horticultural value chain. For communities residing in the Guinean forest region of Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Guinea, our climate change adaptation project involves supporting women's leadership in the planning and restoration of degraded forests and key habitats with co-benefits for biodiversity.
CECI-Guinea supports initiatives that promote inclusive governance, to ensure that women, young people and vulnerable people are taken into consideration at all levels of decision-making. Our peace-building initiatives in fragile contexts aim to ease tensions, prevent conflict and improve transparency, public accountability and inter-community, as well as inter-religious dialogue. They feature prominently in our strategic priorities.
