Since 1990, CECI-Bolivia has been strengthening the capacities of communities in La Paz, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, and Potosí. Together with public, private, and civil society actors, we conduct research and implement projects supporting the economic development of women artisans, entrepreneurs, and small organizations. We also promote diversity and the full realization of women’s and girls’ rights, strengthening their leadership in the face of climate change, through alliances with strategic partners.

We aim to promote inclusive economic growth focused on women-led small and medium enterprises. To achieve this, we strengthen business ecosystems to better meet the needs of women, taking into account multiple inequalities. Our efforts involve partnerships with women entrepreneur networks, mixed organizations, municipal governments, and producer groups, both in rural and urban areas.
CECI-Bolivia establishes strategic alliances with local experts to promote the rights of women and girls. This is achieved through awareness campaigns against discrimination towards women, girls, and the LGBTQ+ community, as well as through the promotion of indigenous women's leadership in climate change adaptation and the creation of safe educational environments.
With its partners, CECI-Bolivia promotes the empowerment of women in decision-making regarding gender-based violence and encourages the performance of women entrepreneurs, thus enhancing their participation in decision-making processes. We also advocate for the recognition and involvement of women in tourism development, both in protected areas such as the Toro Toro National Park and in urban areas with the Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz.
CECI-Bolivia supports innovative approaches to strengthen the adaptation of vulnerable communities to climate change, with a particular focus on the differentiated impact on women, including girls and women in vulnerable situations. Alongside its partners, CECI-Bolivia strengthens the leadership of indigenous women in defending their territories and shaping their agenda in response to climate change.
