Jointly, our teams raised over $70,000 as we participated for the eighth year running in Scotia Bank’s Charity Challenge!
Some 125 people showed up at Parc Jean Drapeau this past weekend to run several kilometres in support of CECI and to support gender equality in the world!
Despite the cold and rainy weather, the energy was electrifying on the starting lines for the 1K kids’ run, 5K, 10K and 21K. Medal around their neck and contagiously enthused, our participants took this opportunity to celebrate both their athletic achievements and the funds they raised for their team.
And it is far from over, as you can still support our teams until May 27!
Support our teams!
Help us meet our goal of $75,000 before May 27 by supporting our five teams:
Team Armande Bégin Fund[i] – $54,320 raised in support of women in Mali;
Team JUPREC – $4,519 raised to combat violence against women in Mali;
Team Uniterra – $4,413 raised for volunteer-based projects in support of women and youth;
Team ACOSME – $3,266 raised in support of better health care for mothers and children in Haiti;
Team #CECIforGenderEquality – $2,950 raised for the empowerment of women in the world.
Thank you to all participants and donors!
We wish to warmly give thanks to all the participants engaged with us this year, as well as to all those donors who supported their fundraising efforts.
