CECI's activities are mainly concentrated in the regions of Tillabéri, Dosso, Tahoua, and Diffa.
CECI-Niger strengthens women's economic empowerment by facilitating access to vegetable seeds and beehives, and by supporting the preparation of funding applications to climate funds. The organization supports local communities, particularly women, in implementing priority actions to improve livelihoods and preserve biodiversity. In collaboration with technical services and communities, innovative technologies and demonstration plots are being deployed. These initiatives involve women and young people, promoting sustainable economic activities while strengthening ecosystem services and natural resource management.
CECI-Niger draws on current and future climate knowledge to assess the impacts of climate change on economic activities, livelihoods, the agro-silvo-pastoral sector, ecosystem services, and biodiversity. The organization promotes nature-based solutions and innovative techniques, with the support of technical partners.
In collaboration with local communities, CECI strengthens the climate resilience of populations and ecosystems in the Dallol Bosso watershed. It also supports the development and updating of community development plans and degraded land restoration plans.
