How does it work?

Employer–CECI partnership :

Your organization signs an agreement with CECI to participate in the program.

Promotion and recruitment :

CECI provides turnkey promotional materials and supports you in the recruitment process based on your needs.

Preparation and support :

Selected employee-volunteers receive pre-departure training and ongoing support on site from CECI staff.

Evaluation and sharing :

Upon return, learnings and experiences are shared internally to inspire and strengthen organizational culture.

An Accessible Program

Solidarity Leave is made possible through employer support and funding from Global Affairs Canada.

  • Employer contribution: $7,000
  • Employee contribution: volunteer engagement during personal vacation time

Safety and Support

Your staff’s safety is ensured: CECI operates with rigorous protocols and local offices to support volunteers’ health and security. Comprehensive insurance (hospitalization, emergency evacuation, medication and vaccine reimbursement) is provided to all participants.
