Relaxing at La Rinconada

The day following our trip to Samaipata, we decided to visit another highly recommended site called La Rinconada Ecoparque. It is located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It is an ecological education centre as well as a resort where you can both explore and appreciate various flora as well as relax by the pools and enjoy the waterfalls.

Our Sunday morning was spend exploring the park. In additional to the stunning pools, waterfalls, lagoons and a large variety of flora, there were also plenty of activities to enjoy as well. There were tire swings, a floating bridge, a mini zip-line, a rain forest you can walk through. La Rinconada also has some fauna including a Toucan Refuge, a Koi Lagoon with over a hundred Carp, and an Aquarium with various fish.

After a wonderful morning, we had a nice lunch buffet at the restaurant. We then decided to take advantage of the hot, sunny day and swim in the pool. The remainder of the afternoon was spent swimming, listening to music and simply relaxing (and of course a long photo shoot!). Needless to say, it was an amazing day

The entire day’s package (pool access, buffet lunch and both the nature and recreational areas) cost just over $50 CAD. Without a doubt, worth every penny. Add this to the must-see list too!
