The aim of the project is to promote the sustainable development of Haiti by positioning the Département du Nord as the country's leading tourism destination, and to facilitate the implementation of a joint public-private management of the tourism destination Nord, with the participation of local operators - communities and individuals, rural and urban micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) - by promoting a competitive tourism offer based on historical, cultural and natural attractions that are unique in the Caribbean region.

Multi-partner coordination

Working together for better results

In this project, the main responsibility of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MDTIC) is to coordinate all public sector activities at both national and local levels, and to take the lead in planning and promoting tourism in the North Department. For its part, ISPAN coordinates all public-sector activities at both national and local levels, and leads efforts to conserve the natural, cultural and historical sites from which the main tourism products will be developed with the support of the project.
