Ongoing project
The Armande Bégin and Yves Pétillon Fund for Women in Mali supports initiatives led by Malian women's associations to improve their economic autonomy, as well as their health and that of their children.
Created in 2011 in memory of Armande Bégin, a woman involved in community health projects in Mali, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Peru, Haiti and Quebec, the Fund was managed for a decade by CECI in collaboration with Yves Pétillon, CECI's former Executive Director (1989-1999) and a key player in its development. More than a builder of CECI, Yves has remained an unfailing ally, playing an active role in monitoring the Fund, mobilizing philanthropy and leading a solidarity team in the annual charity run.
