In the face of intensifying climate impacts, international cooperation and solidarity play a decisive role in strengthening the resilience of the most vulnerable countries and communities.

However, inequalities in access to finance, technology, and knowledge continue to hamper adaptation efforts. This panel will invite experts, institutional representatives, and civil society actors to reflect on a central question: How can we strengthen climate solidarity between states, institutions, and citizens to better adapt to climate change?

Panel objectives:

  • Explore the progress and limitations of international cooperation on climate adaptation.
  • Highlight the needs and priorities of the most vulnerable countries.
  • Discuss mechanisms for financing, technology transfer, and capacity building.
  • Identify more equitable, effective, and inclusive governance approaches for adaptation.

Moderator: Raphael Savaria, volunteer and specialist in environmental management, professional inclusion, and inclusive communication with CECI

Panelists:

  • Faycal Boureima, Climate Adaptation Theme Leader at CECI
  • Julien Dubuc, Climate Change and Environment Program Officer, Oxfam-Québec
  • Andréanne Martel, Director of the ReSea Project, Mission Inclusion
