Scotiabank Charity Challenge: Bravo, and Thank You for your Support!

A few days ago, CECI proudly took part in Scotiabank’s charity run for the fourth year in a row!

We would like to thank our brave and valiant participants in the April 27 Scotiabank charity challenge. Runners and walkers alike put their hearts and soles into the event! Some participants rose to the challenge of completing all 21 km, while some first-timers threw all their energy into fundraising. Still other more experienced participants showed up once again, smiling and ready to support their team.

In addition to their physical efforts, a total of more than $51,000 was raised!

This year, our runners supported projects to change the lives of women around the world.

The funds raised will go towards the following projects:

• Bolivia / "An Aguayo for Risk-Free Childbirth" – Mother and Child Health Project (french only)
• Burkina Faso / Rice Parboiler Support Project
• Haiti / Project to Combat Violence Against Girls and Women (french only)
• Mali / Armande Bégin Fund for the Promotion of Women in Mali
• Philippines / Support for Victims of Recent Natural Disasters

Again, congratulations to our participants and THANK YOU to all the donors who have supported CECI and decided to help change the lives of women around the world.

Check out our photos from the event on CECI’s Facebook page – Course Scotia 2015 album  and on the Fonds Armande Bégin Facebook page (French only).
