Around the world, women are at the heart of the response to climate change. They cultivate the land, manage water and protect natural resources, while supporting their communities in the face of drought, floods and other extreme events.

Yet, despite their essential role, they are all too often excluded from the decision-making arena, and have difficulty gaining access to the resources they need to take full action. Why do climate issues particularly affect women? How does their involvement transform community responses? And above all, what can we do collectively to strengthen their power to act?

This panel offers a rich conversation around the driving role of women in managing environmental crises. In collaboration with the Réseau des femmes en environnement, panelists will highlight concrete initiatives carried out by committed women in the field. Volunteering, training, community mobilization: powerful levers for action to build a fairer, greener and more united future.
