CECI and civil law students from the University of Ottawa invite you to a panel discussion on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), following their participation in the 88th session of the CEDAW Committee. This event, organized within the framework of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) in partnership with Global Affairs Canada (GAC), will highlight the impact of CEDAW by exploring how this international convention promotes women’s empowerment and strengthens their role as pillars of climate resilience and economic development in CECI’s intervention countries.

At the heart of the discussions, we will examine how women’s leadership and economic empowerment are essential to addressing current climate challenges. The panelists will share their experiences and perspectives on women’s engagement as catalysts for economic and climate change, illustrating how their involvement is crucial to building more resilient and inclusive communities.
