On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, CECI is proud to be a partner of the luncheon conference organized by Gouvernance au Féminin (LGAF), presented at the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal as part of International Women's Rights Month.

Under the theme Women's Leadership in 2026: Acceleration or Global Backlash, this meeting will offer an opportunity for collective reflection on the dynamics that shape women's access to positions of power and influence, both in Quebec and internationally.

A discussion to reflect on progress and challenges

While progress in women's leadership continues in several sectors, worrying signs of regression are emerging in different parts of the world. This discussion will bring together influential voices to examine the progress made, the resistance encountered, and the levers for consolidating gains and accelerating change.

The event will be moderated by Caroline Codsi, Founding President of Women in Governance, and will feature several panelists:

- Louise Otis, President of the NATO Administrative Tribunal and the OECD Administrative Tribunal, former judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal
- Jérôme Pécresse, Managing Director, Aluminum & Lithium at Rio Tinto
-The Honorable Amina Gerba, Independent Senator for Quebec (Rigaud)

On this occasion, CECI will be represented by Senator Amina Gerba, a CECI collaborator and long-time advocate for women's leadership and inclusive economic development.

A partnership rooted in the Volunteer Cooperation Program

CECI's participation in this event is part of its Volunteer Cooperation Program, funded by the Government of Canada, which promotes the sharing of expertise, collaboration between organizations, and the strengthening of more inclusive economic ecosystems.

This luncheon conference will also be an opportunity to unveil the new cohort of Paritéᴹᴰ-certified organizations, while providing a space for networking and mobilization around women's leadership issues.
