Key Responsibilities:
1-Program Development & Implementation:
- Collaborate with CONCERN INC. and CECI’s regional management to define strategic directions for the VCP program, ensuring the inclusion of innovative approaches that align with local needs.
- Drive the implementation of the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) approach, including promoting green growth initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate new partnerships while ensuring the establishment of agreements between VCP, local organizations, and key stakeholders.
2-Project Management & Results Monitoring:
- Oversee program planning, monitoring, and reporting in line with CECI's standards. Ensure activities are consistently achieving their intended outcomes.
- Lead the development of performance plans for partner organizations and monitor their progress, ensuring results-based management practices are followed.
- Manage the administration of training budgets and thematic funds, ensuring compliance with CECI’s policies and guidelines.
3-Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building:
- Foster a culture of learning and innovation through knowledge exchange forums, ensuring the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the region.
- Coordinate the development of communication products that showcase program successes and lessons learned, in collaboration with CECI’s communications team in Canada.
4-Human Resources & Volunteer Coordination:
- In close collaboration with partner organizations in the Philippines, develop volunteer mandates based on the needs identified in the CAT+ ;
- Work closely with CECI’s mobilization team to define volunteer assignments and profiles based on partner needs and Canadian volunteer offerings.
- Manage volunteer field orientation and ongoing support, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and integration into partner organizations.
- Organize and participate in tripartite meetings in the Philippines (volunteer, partner, country teams) at the beginning, middle and end of the assignment.
- Support the volunteer in drawing up their work plan involving the partner organization(s) involved.
- Ensure volunteers receive appropriate information to maintain their safety and security in alignment with country directives.
5-Partnership & Advocacy:
- Develop strong relationships with local partners, governments, and private sector stakeholders to advance women’s economic empowerment and build long-term program sustainability.
- Identify advocacy opportunities and help structure actions that support program priorities, ensuring the integration of gender equality and environmental sustainability strategies.
6-Public Engagement & Communication:
- Collaborate on public engagement efforts to highlight program results, increasing visibility and fostering community support for women’s empowerment initiatives.
- Work with Canadian counterparts to promote the program’s impact and engage public audiences both locally and internationally.
Ideal Candidate: This role is suited for an experienced program manager with a passion for women’s economic empowerment and sustainable development. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven expertise in program design, implementation, and monitoring in an international development context.
- Strong experience in managing partnerships, including negotiating agreements and fostering collaborative relationships.
- Deep understanding of gender equality and environmental sustainability in development programming.
- Experience with volunteer coordination, including recruitment, orientation, and support.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both local and international stakeholders.
