Under the supervision of the Africa Regional Management and in close collaboration with the Voluntary Cooperation Program (PCV) Management, the Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, management and achievement of results of programs aimed at strengthening the economic power of women (RPEF) and young women. He/she is responsible for PCV programming in Côte d'Ivoire, working directly with partners and volunteers. He/She coordinates the program's planning, management, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and ensures that results are achieved in the region.

Main responsibilities:

Planning and coordination:

  • Co-develop and implement the programmatic orientations in RPEF in Côte d'Ivoire and co-determine the strategic orientations in RPEF for the region in synergy with the country and regional programming in an innovative approach.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the RPEF approach and provide technical support.
  • Ensure the preparation of annual work plans, annual narrative reports, communication products and follow up with countries in the region in this area.
  • Ensure the achievement, quality and documentation of results, including the identification of innovative partners and a robust ATS.

Partnership management:

  • Maintain relationships with partners (civil society organizations, private sector, governments), manage partnership agreements in Côte d'Ivoire and promote partner involvement in the various program components.
  • Participate in various committees, communities of practice and/or collaborative platforms in Côte d'Ivoire and the region.
  • Financial and administrative follow-up:
  • Contribute to the management and monitoring of budgets, the processing of fund transfer requests and compliance with CECI policies.

Human resources and security:

  • Participate in the mobilization, management and orientation of volunteers in Côte d'Ivoire, ensuring their safety, well-being and risk management.
  • Support volunteers in drawing up their annual work plan in collaboration with partners, and organize tripartite meetings to monitor volunteers and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with CECI policies and encourage the development and use of recognized best practices in the volunteer cooperation sector.

Communication and visibility:

  • Ensure the systematization of knowledge, best practices and success stories, including in relation to the ATS, the program's communication and outreach strategy and country priorities, through the drafting of knowledge products needed to capture PCV results.
  • Collaborate with the communications team in Canada and with partners and volunteers to promote program results through the design of communications products and knowledge management.

This position is for you if you have:

An undergraduate degree in economic development, business administration, or a relevant field, with a master's degree an asset.

  • A sound understanding of the entrepreneurial sector and economic development in Côte d'Ivoire and Africa.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and a strong ability to work in a team.
    Strong skills in planning and administrative coordination of international development projects and knowledge of results-based management.
  • A keen interest in sustainable development issues, women's rights, and social inequalities, and an adherence to the gender equality, rights, and diversity approach and the values ​​associated with international cooperation.
  • A good command of information technology and computer tools.
  • The ability to work independently and mobilize multi-country teams.
  • Language skills: French and English.
