Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Philanthropic Development and in close collaboration with the Director of the Volunteer Cooperation Program, you will play a key role in mobilizing partners and the Canadian public around issues of international solidarity, highlighting inspiring solutions to promote women's leadership. You will collaborate with dynamic teams and strategic partners to implement projects that connect local and global expertise while contributing to CECI’s outreach.

The opportunity :

The Partnerships and Communications Advisor aims to raise awareness and engage Canadians on issues of international solidarity related to women’s leadership in a climate-resilient economy. They advise CECI teams and work closely with the Project Manager for Women’s Economic Empowerment, Strategy, and Development, as well as with partners, to implement public engagement and communication activities.

Main responsibilities
Partnership Development

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with Canadian and international organizations supporting women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment to reach new audiences.
  • Design and facilitate collaborative initiatives, such as exchange platforms or co-creation projects, to foster mutual learning between Northern and Southern partners.
  • Organize and facilitate technical discussions among partners to strengthen capacities and encourage innovative solutions.

Public Engagement

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of CECI’s public engagement strategy, driven by the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), by identifying new approaches to mobilize diverse audiences.
  • Plan and execute large-scale activities (events, webinars, campaigns) to raise awareness and engage Canadians on topics related to women’s leadership and climate resilience.
  • Develop engaging tools and content for various platforms, showcasing the successes and impacts of CECI’s international cooperation initiatives.
  • Support the organization's thought leadership positioning, particularly on the theme of women’s leadership in a climate-resilient economy.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Administration

  • Ensure the quality monitoring and evaluation of activities in collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning teams.
  • Participate in budget planning and management related to public engagement activities.

You have :

  • Advanced experience and knowledge in women’s economic empowerment, women’s entrepreneurship, women’s leadership, and/or the green economy.
  • A bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business development, entrepreneurship, international relations, or a related and relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in partnership development and 10 years of combined experience in business development, communication, and/or entrepreneurship related to the green economy or women’s leadership.
  • Strong proficiency in French (spoken and written) and an intermediate level of English to communicate with international colleagues.
  • Good knowledge of new information technologies and social media.
