La région du nord, où se trouve Tamale, est la plus grande du Ghana et, malheureusement, l’une des plus pauvres. On y retrouve de nombreuses zones rurales où l’agriculture de subsistance et l’élevage de volaille constituent l’activité économique prédominante. Cependant, les techniques utilisées par les habitants ne sont généralement pas les plus efficaces ni les plus sécuritaires. TIBZAA souhaite donc combler ce manque en formant adéquatement des individus afin d’améliorer le bien-être humain et réduire la pauvreté de la région. La formation propose un modèle durable « d’agribusiness » et couvre non seulement les meilleures pratiques quant aux techniques agricoles à adopter, mais également les étapes à franchir pour permettre aux apprenants de démarrer des microentreprises florissantes. We believe that it is very relevant that these students can be integrated at different stages of the project to put their learning into practice. The next day was spent exploring Paga by visiting a sacred crocodile pond and a former slave gathering site.
