Your role

Provide leadership, development, management and coordination of CECI's programming and operations in Burkina Faso, in alignment with its mission, values, policies, procedures, code of conduct, theory of change and strategic priorities at both national and global levels. Represent CECI to government authorities, local communities, donors and key stakeholders and partners. Consolidate the country program vision, oversee the implementation and management of ongoing projects, while developing and diversifying the portfolio of projects and programs to foster growth and maximize CECI's impact in Burkina Faso.

You will be responsible for :

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure coherence, alignment and synergy of all CECI projects/programs with Burkina Faso's theory of change, strategies and business plan.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the development and growth of a diversified, high-quality portfolio of projects/programs, including humanitarian aid and voluntary cooperation.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure results and develop robust evidence of impact.
  • Develop complementary partnerships to increase CECI's effectiveness and impact.
  • Manage the security of staff, volunteers and visitors, as well as the protection of CECI's operations and assets.
  • Manage crisis situations and coordinate incident response with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage CECI Burkina Faso's annual budget and ensure its execution in accordance with internal standards.
  • Supervise in-country personnel and resources according to CECI performance standards.
  • Integrate CECI Burkina Faso into the process of institutional transformation towards CECI International.
  • Facilitate the smooth running of an advisory committee representing civil society and relevant thematic sectors.
  • Participate in strategic and governance discussions at institutional and international levels.
  • Contribute actively as a member of the International Leadership Committee.

Profile sought:

  • Burkinabe or West African nationality.
  • Mobilizing leadership, strategic thinking and diplomatic, interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing multicultural environment.
  • Graduate degree in management, international development, business development or relevant social sciences.
  • Five years' experience in development project management, resource mobilization and partnership development.
  • Proven management, administrative and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in CECI's priority themes in Africa.
  • Knowledge of development issues in West Africa.
  • Commitment to equity and social inclusion in the workplace.
  • Fluency in French and intermediate English.
